How to use this tool
Check how many fingers your touch screen tracks and find dead zones. Nothing is uploaded.
Touch the pad
Put one or more fingers on the pad and draw. Each finger gets its own colour and number.
Count your fingers
Touching now shows the fingers on the screen; Most at once keeps the highest count.
Find dead zones
Swipe over the whole pad, or press Full screen to reach the edges. Cells that never fill in mark a dead zone.
FAQ
How do I test my touch screen?
Put fingers on the pad and draw. Each finger gets its own colour and number. Then swipe over the whole pad: cells you have touched fill in, and any that will not fill show a dead zone.
How many fingers does my screen support?
Put down as many fingers as you can at once and read Most at once. Phones and tablets usually track 5–10; some laptops track only 2.
Why does pressure say “Not reported”?
Most touch screens and mice do not measure pressure. Pens such as Apple Pencil and Surface Pen usually do.
Can I test the edges of the screen?
Press Full screen so the pad fills the screen, then swipe along every edge and corner.
Is anything uploaded?
No. Touches are drawn in this tab and forgotten when you clear or close it.
