How to annotate a screenshot

A bug report, a how-to, or a chat needs a mark on the picture, not a paragraph. You will drop a screenshot, draw a box or an arrow, and check the PNG at the size of a message.

  3. Drop or paste the capture

Paste from the clipboard if you just captured. If the preview is blank, the file is not an image this browser can decode.

  4. Draw one or two marks

Rect around the area. Arrow at the tap. Text for a two-word label. Undo the last mark if it covers the thing you meant to show.

  5. Download the PNG

Keep the unmarked original. Export does not change the file on disk.

  6. Open it at chat or ticket size

If the arrow vanishes when small, draw it thicker and closer. If type smears, shorten the label. Do not send the unmarked original by mistake.
