Pokémon Red full story: 8 badges, Elite Four, Champion. Dex 151 is optional.
Pallet and starter
Bulbasaur eases Brock; Squirtle is even; Charmander is the hard early game. Parcel for Oak. Grind Route 1 to ~8.
Forest to Brock
Pikachu/Weedle in the forest. Water/Grass for Brock. Charmander needs Ember and extra levels. Badge 1.
Mt. Moon to Misty
Fossil optional. Electric/Grass for Misty. Badge 2.
SS Anne to Surge
Cut from the ship. Trash cans: first random, second adjacent. Ground types. Badge 3.
Rock Tunnel to Erika
Fire/Flying/Poison. Badge 4.
Tower to Koga
Silph Scope, then Fuchsia. Psychic/Ground. Safari for HM slaves. Badge 5.
Sabrina, Blaine, Giovanni
Saffron psychic, Cinnabar fire, Viridian ground. Badges 6–8.
Victory Road and Elite Four
Lorelei ice, Bruno fighting, Agatha ghost, Lance dragon (ice). Heal between.
Champion Blue
He uses the starter that beats yours. Hall of Fame is the clear. Birds and Mewtwo are post-game.

Pokémon Red cheat codes?
Walk through walls, money, Rare Candy, and Repel are listed. Gameshark format. Use with a save state.
Play Pokémon on my phone in the browser?
Yes. Game Boy is light. Virtual pad maps to A/B/Start/Select.
ROM hosted?
No commercial Pokémon ROM. Load .gb.
How do I beat Brock?
Water/Grass types, or grind Charmander. Walkthrough covers Pallet through Surge.
Will walk through walls break my save?
It can. Always save-state first. Turn the cheat off before you save in-game.
Emulator cores live on S3. A game starts from a hosted ROM when that file exists, or from a local file you pick. Local files are not uploaded.
